This clover , native to South America , is simply magnificent, its already astonishing coloring is further adorned with lighter marbling.

Oxalis triangularis is very suitable as an indoor plant or alongside other terrarium plants as long as it has enough space. Hanging it is often a good alternative when it reaches a good size. During the winter , the crimson clover is less abundant, but recovers more beautifully in the spring.

Finally, this purple clover also has the particularity of folding its leaves at the end of the day to reopen them with the first rays of sunlight, a bit like sensitive plants .

The rhizomes are delivered in batches of 4 to 6 depending on the size and simply need to be repotted in good potting soil and placed in good conditions (see advice below).

Oxalis triangularis maintenance

- Use our special mix , composed of 50% blond peat, 25% horticultural soil and 25% perlite. The soil used is decisive in the vigor of the Crimson Clover .

- Choose a very bright environment, direct sunlight is no problem for it.

- Place the plant indoors or in a terrarium/paludarium type structure with plenty of atmospheric humidity for optimal growth. Temperatures between 5°C and 30°C.

- Water with rainwater or demineralized water. The substrate must be kept moist all year round, but avoid stagnant water under the plant.

- In winter and if there is not enough light, Oxalis triangularis loses all or part of its leaves. Don't panic, this is normal, the plant goes into vegetative rest. In spring it will start again even better!
