Here are the cultivation tips for carnivorous plants of the HELIAMPHORA genus. Some species require different treatment whether for watering, repotting, lighting... These particularities are noted at the level of each plant description in the HELIAMPHORA store.
Temperature
Between 10 and 15°C at night, 20 and 30°C during the day.
Water
Use only rainwater, demineralized or osmosis. Water that is too hard will cause the plant to die in a few weeks. Do not use bottled water, as it generally contains too much salt, which is harmful to the plant. Place the plant in a saucer containing 1 to 2 cm of water.
Fertilizer
Once a week, spray with a solution of orchid fertilizer diluted 1/10.
Brightness
Very bright all year round. Indoors, a supply of artificial light is very beneficial or even essential.
Substrate
Mixture of sphagnum peat moss, non-calcareous sand, perlite , vermiculite (5V, 1V, 3V, 1V) or more simply sphagnum.
